La Taverna del Mar restaurant
Historic restaurant, with an excellent location by Sant Pol beach and next to S’Agaró village. Specialised in rice, fish and seafood.
La Taverna del Mar was inaugurated in year 1936 by the founder of S’Agaró, Mr. Josep Encesa i Gubert. The local has a noucentista building that it was first designed by Rafel Masó but finished by Francesc Folguera, it has been an iconic reference of the tourism of S’Agaró and Sant Pol beach.
In 2014, he rights to La Taverna del Mar passed into the hands of Mr. Encesa’s granddaughters Julia, Virginia and Carina, who took control of the project. The local was completely renovated by the designer Lázaro Rosa Violán who opted for an elegant and stylish renovation respecting its origins and localisation.
Its gastronomic offer is committed to the quality, with a team of excellent professionals ready to cook and serve the best produce from the sea in an incomparable atmosphere: rices, sauvage fish and seafood, served with a wide national and international wine list.
Daily menu: 25 € (per person), except weekends and bank holiday (from Mars to May & from September to November)
