5th May Events

*Guíxols Lletres. Book presentation: Bombai Mumbai: la vida és la vida, jo sóc gràcies a tu by Amin Sheikh. Translation of the presentation by Antònia Pérez Fortes. Amin Sheikh self-published a book and achieved to set up a library - coffee shop to offer a job to young people of the street. At 6pm at the Octavi Viader Margarit Public Library.

*Conference: The gardens of the Monasteries and Convents as an innovation. The contact with the New World (15th-20th centuries). (in Catalan). In charge of José Pardo Tomàs, researcher of the Science History Department of Institució Milà i Fontanals of Barcelona CSIC. At 7pm at the Conference Rooms of the Monastery. *Reading Club: La zona, apunts d'un vigilant de camp by Sergei Dovlatov (in Catalan). In charge of the writer and coordinator of the club Toni Sala. At 8pm at the Octavi Viader Margarit Public Library.

*Concert: Gipsy Nur Project (France/Bcn, French song). At 9pm at the Cas Romagué-Casa Irla (Algavira, 65-69). Free admission.  

6th May Events

*Guíxols Flors. Flowers will be exhibited at the Town Council (from 5 to 8.30pm) , in the Monastery Gardens (from11am to 8pm), in Sant Joan square and in Horta street. Concerts will be performed in the Monastery gardens ( Haydn Trio at 12.30pm and Luis González Trio for 5€ at 10pm).

*Morning tour. At 9.30am at the Monastery. We'll stroll to the surroundings of the town to get to know plants. In charge of the botanist Xavier Vinyes. It is recommended to bring breakfast and wear trainers. If you have a car, come with it and we can go easily to the starting point.

*Workshop: Mother's Day. Come to make a present for your mother. From 6 years old. In charge of Alba Navarro. Free activity. At 11am at the Octavi Viader Margarit Public Library.

*Guíxols Escena'17 - Professional Theatre and Music: Píndoles, Microteatre fora del Teatre. (in Catalan). At 9pm. Meeting point: Narcís Masferrer Theatre. General price: 12€. Tickets sale at www.codetickets.com or at the Tourist Office.

*Concert: Hobo Blues Duet (Montpellier, blues). At 9pm at the Cas Romagué-Casa Irla (Algavira, 65-69). Free admission.

 

7th May Events

*Guíxols Flors. Flowers will be exhibited at the Town Council (from10am to 2pm from 5 to 8pm) , in the Monastery Gardens (from11am to 8pm), in Sant Joan square and in Horta street. Concerts will be performed in the Monastery gardens ( Clica'm at 5pm and Ennuk at 7pm). Prize-giving at the Town Council at 8pm.

*Concerts: vermouth time with Joan S. Almansa (Bcn, singer-songwriter). At 12pm. Andy The Doorbum at 5.30pm. At the Cas Romagué- Casa Irla (Algavira, 65-69). Free admission.

10th May Events

*Legal advice service on equality. From 9am to 12pm on the first floor of the Vilartagues Civic Centre (SIAD office).

*Generalitat Office. De 10am to 2pm at the Vilartagues Civic Centre. A visit by appointment is required at the phone number 972 82 01 01 or at the same Civic Centre.

11th May Events

*Health Urban Park. 1hour session of physical activity with a specialised physiotherapist. Meeting point: Health Urban Park - Tueda at 8.30am. For further information: 972 64 23 10 and www.itinerarisiparcsdesalut.cat 

*Concert: Gru Grü (Montpellier, free jazzcore). At 9pm at the Cas Romagué-Casa Irla (Algavira 65-69). Free admission.
