Matthew Paul Butler, born in Durham (North Carolina, USA), grew up between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the United States of America. As his father was a preacher, the music he listened to was a conscious act of rebellion. Matthew could avoid to sing at churches. There is a similarity between the job of his father as a minister and his as a songwriter. Dessert Inn, Palm Spring, a group from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, recreates folk, country and American blues from the 30s to the present days.  They offer acoustic concerts for small places, with guitar, double bass, banjo, mandolins and two or three voices.
