Reality & Fiction in Narrative

-“My Mother Always Gave Me an Apple for Snack”. Reality and Fiction in Contemporary Catalan Narrative. Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. (until 05/25/26). Led by Núria Bazaga. Literature is a strange place where fiction and reality mix, where the narrator is never completely reliable, and where what is told has something to do with the truth but is never pure reality. In recent years, what are called “first-person narratives” have increased—novelized life experiences—but this literary genre has existed for many years. We will explore cases where distinguishing reality from fiction becomes a real challenge.
